When you’re just not ready.

Do you ever feel as though you’re not quite ready?  I feel as though Autumn crept in the back door when I wasn’t looking.  It was only a couple of weeks ago that I was running in shorts and a vest and this week, I’ve had to dig out my gloves, cycling jacket, long leggings and still can’t find my over-shoes, which meant very cold feet on my cycle commute on Wednesday!virtual assistant worcesterI’m sure there’s normally more of a lead in to Autumn? I mean I haven’t seen that many trees shedding their leaves and yet it feels like Winter is just around the corner and I’m just not prepared.  They say you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone and Summer, I really miss you.  I may have moaned that it was too hot for running/racing, or that I was constantly having to water the tomato plants or do gardening but I would have you back tomorrow if I could.worcester virtual assistant I’m sure it’ll be fine when Autumn is well and truly established and I’ve found all my warm clothes, but at the moment, it feels like the denial stage of coping with loss.  I keep thinking that I might wake up tomorrow and it’ll be 25 degrees and we’ll have 17 hours of daylight again.   But I fear that it’s a case of facing the reality that the days will get shorter and the temperature colder.blog writing worcesterSo, the next stage is acceptance.  Unless I decide to emigrate to the other side of the world, I had better embrace what Autumn has to offer – nights in front of the log burner, wrapping up warm, cosy, warm pubs, Cross Country races, less gardening and more baking.  When you think about it like that, it doesn’t sound too bad.  But there’s still this transition period to get through, hopefully it won’t take too long…

I work for small businesses.  If you would like assistance with blog writing or social media posts contact me, I’d love to help.
